The Pension Man delivers the following services:
1. Telephone consultation
A consultation will give you a clear understanding of whether or not you should transfer your UK Pension, and will include discussion on:
- Your UK pension holdings
- NZ / UK tax issues
- Should you transfer or not
- Effects of decision – to transfer or not
- Effects of decision – to transfer or not
- Timescales
Cost: NZ$250 (plus GST if NZ resident)
2. Preparation of full written report
Once you have had an initial consultation with us, we will assess whether or not you should transfer your UK Pension. If we believe that transferring your pension would be the best option, a comprehensive report will be prepared for you. This will cover:
- Current information on your holding(s),
- Obtained from provider(s)
- Details of current pension, estimated benefits at retirement,
- Includes full analysis of Transfer Value for any final salary scheme(s)
- Death Benefit – pre & post retirement (NZ & UK)
- State Pension
- Planning Options
- Full Recommendations – whether or not to transfer (and when to take action)
- Appendix covering:
- Elements of Final Salary Scheme transfer values
- Types of UK pension contracts
- Basis of contributions to UK pensions
- NZ Tax issues – FIF & QFPA
- NZ retirement Options
- UK Retirement Options
Cost NZ$495 (plus GST if NZ resident)
3. Implementation fees
If you proceed with the transfer within 3 months, the report or consultation fee will be rebated against the implementation fee.

| next $200,000 | 2% |
| Amounts over $300,000 | 1% |
A minimum implementation fee of $995 applies.
This fee is paid by way of commission from the NZ Superannuation provider and will be discussed with you prior to any action.
